All our sneakers are listed in standard US sizing. To convert from men’s to women’s sizes, add 1.5 sizes to the men’s size (for example, a men’s 7 is equivalent to a women’s 8.5).
Customers often prefer sizing up for a more comfortable fit in our Center and All-American franchises. Try a ½ size above your normal sneaker size.
Originally released in 1944, The Center canvas sneaker helped establish P.F. Flyers as a recognized brand, channeling the spirit of mid-century America. Today, The Center Low-Top Black continues to combine rugged materials with performance features, the same traits that helped us turn flimsy canvas sneakers into something entirely new nearly a century ago.
Part of our Vintage Soles Collection, these black canvas sneakers honor those roots while staying rooted in the present. Crisp lines, gum rubber accents, and a signature toe bumper exude old-school attitude while being built for modern movement.
Inspired by the grit and determination of mid-century America, these shoes are ready to help you keep moving forward in today’s world, with effortless versatility.

I have been a PF flyer girl for years—no, for decades. I am super excited for my fresh pair! In the short time that I have had them, I’ve worn them to work every day and I’ve gotten so many compliments! Usual PFF Super powers- I do go faster AND jump higher (duh)
The insoles are incomparable. If you are on the fence about these or any Flyers, GET THEM. Maybe you’ll be like me and keep every pair forever for different uses... I have one that’s 20 years old and has no laces -I wear them to garden like Benny the Jet. 🤷🏻♀️
The fit is great, the shoes are comfortable, and the build seems to be well done. Still not done with the break in period, but they are wearing well.
For the price, I could not beat it.
I am 77 and loved my sneakers as a kid. My initials are P.F. and they made me fly.
Today, they are comfortable and just what I wanted. I will purchase high tops in the Fall.
I’ll try to get a video and send it when I’m at the YMCA, hitting the speed bag.
Fit great out of the box. I need a half size. Customer support was helpful before the order. I use zero drop shoes to practice Tai Chi - therefore I remove the inserts for Tai ChnChuan.
I have two other pairs of the Center Lows along with this one. What I like about them is consistency. They fit true to size and are ready to wear comfortably right out of the box. The workmanship is impeccable. I'm certain there's a fourth pair in the near future.
I really like the look, fit and feel of the shoes! Shipping, however, was unreasonably long. At the time of purchase it was stated that shipping would be a certain number of days, which I think any reasonable person would take to mean from time of purchase. When I inquired after not receiving the shoes after several weeks, I was told that the specifed shipping time was from the time they received the shoes to ship out, not the time from when the order was placed. This strikes me as being highly deceptive. But, as I stated previously, the shoes themselves are top notch and a joy to wear.
